Rachel and Hazel went down to the Sacramento County Clerk/Recorder's office early this morning to observe and photograph some history: the issuance of marriage licenses to gay couples. It was a very interesting morning. When Rachel and Hazel arrived, there was a line of gay couples waiting outside the office to get their licenses. There were also quite a few people protesting gay marriage across the street. Here are Rachel and Hazel standing with one of the protesters.
The protester pictured above (standing with Rachel and Hazel) drives this truck around. He parked it across the street from the Recorder's office.
