Another good day today. We were able to get out of the house again, this time to meet Sue for lunch. And we were on time too!

According to our book "What to Expect During the First Year," a baby smiles her first smile between 4 and 6 weeks. Hazel has been right on schedule, giving us a smile here and there over the past few weeks. But over the past few days, Hazel has been working on her grin. When she is first awakened from a nap, she looks up at Mom or Dad from her crib and smiles this huge, toothless grin that extends from ear to ear. It is absolutely priceless and it just melts your heart. Rachel will try to snap a picture of it to post.

Chuck and I were really tickled with this post. We remember Coral's first grin at only a few weeks and everybody said that it was just"gas."

Love Great Aunt Anita
