For the kitty lovers out there, here is a kitty update:The kitties definitely know that something is different in the house. They have been acting needier than usual, and rather than hanging out doing their own thing, they make sure to be always in the same room us. When we first got home and set down the car seat with Hazel in it, both of the kitties came up and sniffed the seat. They could tell that there was something alive inside, but they didn't know what to make of Hazel.
Then, when Rachel got into bed, both of the kitties jumped up on the bed and layed down with her. (As many of you know, there is no love lost between Rachel's kitty and Rion's kitty. They try to avoid each other as much as possible.) It's been funny to watch them.

The kitties now have something in common: the invader! I am sure their peace treaty will expire and they will be back to their ol' selves soon. Wait until Hazel is crawling-- those felines haven't a clue what is soon to come.
I'm glad the kitties are getting along even if it is shortlived. Rion's kitty is so freaking cute in that picture.
Thanks for the kitties update! It's so sweet how much they missed you, Rachel :) Even though cats are very independent, like dogs they can sense emotion and tension and excitement very keenly, and I'm sure were very concerned about you right before you went to the hospital earlier in the week. They were probably frantically pacing the halls waiting for their Rachel's return!
